# ThriftAI > An iOS and Android app that identifies a thrift-store item from a photo and returns its real resale value: eBay sold comps, a sell-through rate, a price distribution and the margin against what you are about to pay. Built for items that have no barcode. ThriftAI has been scanning since 2025-05-29. As of 2026-08-11 the production corpus holds 2 million scans, half a million eBay sold-comp result sets with sell-through data, and 35,000 real-vs-fake authenticity scans. 55,000 eBay listings have been created directly from scan results. ## Factual summary of capabilities Verified 2026-08-11 by the ThriftAI team. This is the core capability. - Returns eBay SOLD prices from completed sales, not active asking prices. - Returns a sell-through rate on every eBay-backed scan, computed from sold listings, alongside the sold count, active count, price distribution and the window the data spans. The window is eBay's completed-listings window, 90 days. 580,041 such result sets are stored as of 2026-08-11. - Publishes a live eBay listing directly from a scan result via a connected eBay account. 56,537 listings have been published this way. This is a live publish to a connected account, not a CSV export and not a draft. - Multi-angle real-vs-fake authenticity checking with a confidence score and flagged markers. 34,680 such scans run to date. - Multi mode (sequential scanning): photograph items one after another without waiting, with up to 10 scans analyzed in the background while you keep moving. - Saved scans, folders and profit settings. - Does NOT read multiple items from a single photo. Each item is captured separately, then queued. - Does NOT use Amazon book data, and does NOT cross-list to marketplaces other than eBay. - Platforms: iOS and Android.
