How this index is built
Each entry aggregates every ThriftAI scan of that brand and item type. We publish a slice only once it has at least 50 scans behind it, and sell-through only once it has at least 20 scans carrying real eBay sold prices attached.
Values are medians, not averages, so a single exceptional sale cannot distort them. Sell-through comes from sold listings, the share of listed examples that actually found a buyer, rather than from active asking prices.
These are population figures. The specific item in your hand is moved by condition, variant, completeness and era, sometimes dramatically. Why sold prices differ from asking prices.
